Flamengo held a training session at the Ninho do Urubu training center on Monday afternoon. Coach Caio Júnior began preparing the team for Sunday's match against São Paulo at Morumbi Stadium. After the session, the Flamengo manager stated that the Flamengo squad should treat Sunday's match as a decisive match, just like the upcoming matches in the Brazilian Championship.

"I consider the match against São Paulo decisive. We're focused and concentrated on the goal of achieving a big victory on Sunday. We're in the final stretch of the Brazilian Championship, and we have to take it one game at a time. The next few matches will be very important. I believe the top eight teams will fight for a spot in the Libertadores and the Brasileirão title. Grêmio has a theoretically easy schedule, but in football, that doesn't exist. We have a good chance and we'll fight."

With the entire week available for training, Caio Júnior has not yet defined the team that will face São Paulo on Sunday.

"It's great to be able to train all week. We'll focus on the physical aspect these first few days, then think about the tactical aspect. We have options for Juan and Fierro for Sunday. We'll wait to see how they perform after the qualifying games. Fierro has to wait until he's fully recovered, but he's a great option."

The red-black coach is rooting for a good performance from Juan in Wednesday's game against Bolivia, at the Engenhão, in a game valid for the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.

"Let's hope he does well. He'll have a lot of support here and at the stadium. I'm sure he'll be up to the task not only with the national team but also on Sunday against São Paulo."
