Flamengo is experiencing a special moment in the season: it is leading the Brazilian Championship, it is qualified for the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil and has a recent average attendance of over 50 people. Furthermore, the team remains strong in the Conmebol Libertadores and can guarantee a spot in the round of 16 tomorrow (20) if they beat Emelec at Maracanã, in the first home game with the Nação Rubro-Negra present. And, in celebration of the return of its fans to the competition, at the initiative of the Marketing and Communications departments, the club launches this Tuesday, at XNUMX pm, the short film "Nosso Time é a Gente em Campo" (Our Team is the People on the Field).
The film stars both well-known and anonymous characters, who share a visceral love for Flamengo and a regular attendance at home and away games. The plot revolves around a day at Flamengo. The characters embody players and their routines (training, departure from the training center, bus ride to the stadium, arrival, interviews, and locker room) to convey the fundamental message: the 40 million Flamengo fans take the field for every game. And in "Our Team is the People on the Field," literally.
Filming took place at Maracanã Stadium, Ninho do Urubu Stadium, and in some of Rio de Janeiro's most recognizable landmarks. The production is by FLA TV, the club's official channel. The film, sponsored by the Nação Rubro-Negra program, also featured fan club members as extras.
"I always say that it's impossible to separate Flamengo from its fans. We are one. Flamengo is its Nation. This short film captures this essence. The story of each fan, represented by iconic fans, is important for those who step onto the field and for those who stand off it, fighting for every victory. The greatness of this Nation is in each of us, and we hope to always be close, playing together," emphasizes Daniel Orlean, the club's Vice President of Marketing.
In addition to the short film, the recordings resulted in a series of the same name that will be shown in 15 episodes, telling the stories of the protagonists individually.
"Flamengo's management has a deep commitment to its members and our millions of fans. All our efforts are dedicated to bringing joy to the enormous contingent that makes up the Flamengo Nation. The film conveys this profound love story that unites Flamengo and its fans," adds Wellington Silva, the club's vice president of communications.
"Our Team is Us on the Field" premieres today at 20 p.m. on the club's official Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube accounts. A teaser version is available on Instagram.
