The draw against Vasco had both positive and negative aspects for Flamengo, but for the red-and-black team, it's time to forget what happened over the weekend and focus on Wednesday's match against Corinthians at Engenhão.
Forward Diego Maurício believes that the Flamengo team deserves recognition for fighting back against Vasco, but asks that the team rest and concentrate for another difficult game midweek.
"The team deserves congratulations because they ran and fought. We're going to prepare for another tough match, against Corinthians," he said.
According to him, the draw with their rival was fair, and now the goal is to try and secure another victory against the São Paulo team.
"It was a very hard-fought game from the first half. Both teams sought victory, each was better in one half, but the final result was fair. Now we have to rest to face Corinthians, who will be a very difficult opponent," he concluded.
This Monday, the Flamengo team will reconvene at 16:30 PM at Ninho do Urubu.
