Goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba knows he will play an important role in next Thursday's (September 07.09th) match. The number 29 believes the duel against Atlético-GO is crucial for Flamengo and hopes to do his part and not concede any goals so the team can perform at its best in this match. Lomba also assures that the group is focused on winning the three points in this direct duel to try and climb the table.
"Every game, at this point in the championship, is like a final. Even more so against direct rivals. We know that Thursday's match is crucial and the group is aware that it needs to win the three points. We're going to Volta Redonda knowing that," he said.

"A positive result moves us away from the relegation zone and also gives us greater confidence for the rest of the year. In my opinion, this is one of the most important games for our team in the championship so far," said the goalkeeper, who called on the Flamengo fans to fill the Raulino de Oliveira Stadium in Volta Redonda.
"We would like to count on the fans once again at the Raulino de Oliveira Stadium. There is no doubt that, with this harmony between the team and the fans, Flamengo is even stronger. The fans are very important and their presence motivates us even more," he concluded.
