For Luxa, now it's time to focus on the "final" against Guarani
Coach remembers that the game against Galo was not decisive and asks for support from the fans on Saturday

Coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo warned this week that the match against Atlético this Saturday (November 13.11) was important, yes, but not decisive. After all, even if the team lost, they would still be able to stay out of the bottom of the table. And that's the manager's mindset after the setback against Galo in Sete Lagoas.
The red-black commander believes that the result ended up being fair and that Flamengo could have avoided defeat if they had paid a little more attention to rebuilding the defense after attacking.
"I know Atlético's team; they came out very quickly on the counterattack, and we lacked the composure. We also lacked better finishing. At halftime, trailing 2-0, there's no reason to wait to make changes. I thought we had to make a change; we started well in the second half, just like in the first. I kept the team calm, prepared the team, but we ended up conceding another goal. Losing by one or four is a defeat. The important thing is to stay calm," said the coach, who points out that Flamengo can't enter the relegation zone even if the teams below in the table win their matches.
"It was a game we knew would be difficult, a difficult environment, but the important thing is that we still have three games left in the table. We've burned the fat we had, now it's up to us. We're facing Guarani, at home, and we have to take advantage of this opportunity," he said.
The coach asks Flamengo fans to repeat what Galo fans did this Saturday and push the team towards victory in the decisive match against Guarani, next week, at Engenhão.
"I feel the group working. Atlético played a great game, because of their motivation, because of the situation, and we have to do the same against Guarani. With the fans cheering, supporting the team and striving for victory. Fan involvement, without violence, is essential. They did that here and won the game. That's what we have to do this weekend," he added.
