Flamengo returns to play at home after a run of three games away from Rio de Janeiro.

After starting with an away win in the Copa do Brasil, Flamengo turns its attention to the Campeonato Brasileiro. The Mais Querido is leading Série A and this Sunday (6), it hosts Internacional at Maracanã, looking for its third win in the national competition.

Flamengo remains undefeated in the 2018 Brazilian Championship, with two wins and one draw in three matches played. Midfielder Everton Ribeiro anticipates a difficult duel against the team from Rio Grande do Sul, but is counting on the strength of the fans to secure another three points.

"We expect a difficult game against a team that's trying to establish itself and has great players. It won't be easy, but with the fans filling the Maracanã and setting our pace on the field, we hope to play another great game and stay among the leaders," said the number 7.

Flamengo x International

The two teams have already faced each other 25 times in Rio de Janeiro, in the Brazilian Championship. At home, Flamengo has the advantage, with 13 wins, five draws and seven losses. In these matches, Flamengo scored 41 goals and conceded 27.

Last year, Flamengo and Inter did not face each other in the Brazilian Championship, as the team from Rio Grande do Sul was playing in Série B. The last matches between the two teams were in the 2016 Brasileirão. Flamengo won 1-0 in the first round, with a goal by Ederson. In the away match, the team from Rio Grande do Sul prevailed 2-1. On that occasion, Réver scored Flamengo's goal.

All tickets for the match between Flamengo and Internacional at the Maracanã are sold out. The fans will fill the stadium once again to cheer on their beloved team in their quest for three points in the Brazilian Championship.
