Rubro-Negro will face Bahia in a game valid for the eighth round of the national competition, at 16 pm, at Maracanã.
During Flamengo's preparation for the match against the Bahia team, defender Léo Duarte commented on the game and emphasized the importance of remaining at the top of the table.
"The Brazilian Championship is tough, every game is complicated. Bahia has a good team. They have Zé Rafael, who is a great player, but we'll study them so we don't let their team play. We have to do well, because it's an important game for us to maintain our lead," commented the number 43.

Flamengo and Bahia have faced each other eight times at the Maracanã in the history of the Brazilian Championship. Flamengo has five wins, two draws, and only one loss. In terms of goals scored, Flamengo holds another advantage: 19 to 4.
