The Brazilian Championship's top ball stealer with 26 tackles (Cruzeiro's Espinoza is second with 18), Toró, a supporter, doesn't see Flamengo's lead as a surprise. He believes Flamengo is a title contender, as is their next opponent, São Paulo.

"Flamengo being at the top of the table can never be considered a surprise. São Paulo is starting to grow, they're excited by their last result and will come back with everything. They'll also be fighting for the title, and we have to do our part."

Toró believes in Flamengo's strength at Maracanã to win tomorrow's match.

"São Paulo has a strong squad and an excellent coach. I could spend all day talking about their strengths. The important thing is that we're playing at home, and with the fans' support, we're very strong too."

With Cruzeiro's defeat last night, the red-and-black team could take sole control of the Brazilian Championship. Toró wants the team to do its part.

-“There is no point in thinking about other people's results if we don't do our part tomorrow. But of course, victory tomorrow becomes even more important."
