In May 2014, performance analyst Carlos Eduardo Bressane arrived at Flamengo to join the coaching staff of the under-15 team. Coach Zé Ricardo, the current manager of the professional team, was the coach of the category at the time. From then on, a winning partnership was formed in Flamengo's youth soccer.

The list of titles won together is extensive. In 2014, they won the Brazil-Japan U-15 Cup and the Otávio Pinto Guimarães Tournament (OPG). They then moved up to the U-20 category. With this generation, in 2015, they won the Guanabara and Rio Cups, becoming U-20 Rio champions, as well as the Super Classics Tournament. In 2016, the team reached its peak by winning the São Paulo Junior Football Cup in a thrilling final won on penalty kicks. Coach Zé Ricardo remembers one competition in particular fondly.

"The Brazil-Japan Cup was special because it was the first with international teams. The squad was rebuilt in terms of self-esteem. We started 2014 very poorly, but we kept trying to improve. The boys' behavior off the field was also excellent, and that culminated in this victory for us. The competition is sponsored by CFZ, and Zico presented the medals to the boys. It was a very memorable experience," he said.

Zé Ricardo, on the Copinha title: "an inexplicable feeling"

Regarding the other achievements, he listed and highlighted the importance of each one. However, he couldn't hide his satisfaction and joy at having lifted the trophy of Brazil's top youth championship, the São Paulo Junior Football Cup.

"The Campeonato Carioca de Juniores and the OPG Tournament were really cool because Flamengo hadn't won these trophies in a while, and we did it in a resounding fashion. We won both rounds of the competition. I was very happy to bring these titles back to Flamengo, of course, but the Copa São Paulo was inexplicable. The competition featured 102 teams, and we played nine matches in 24 days. The adrenaline was high throughout, and the competition was just as intense. We faced the best youth teams in Brazil, the best coaches, and many excellent professionals. These were days of hard work, which ended with the enormous satisfaction of seeing it all come to fruition with this title," he celebrated, before talking about all the help Bressane provided and her influence on the glories achieved.

"Dudu was always involved in everything, giving me a lot of information, data, and images. He was always focused on providing everything we needed to prepare for the matches. The boys adapted to him excellently, and everyone bought into the idea. These were days that had to be, and were, perfect for everything to go right."

This achievement was also incredibly memorable for the performance analyst. For him, it was like watching a movie over and over again, such was his joy and the unforgettable final against Corinthians at Pacaembu.

"We gained momentum during the competition, and our confidence grew with each game. It was incredibly emotional to win the São Paulo Cup, the most important title in youth football in Brazil, with a team as big as Flamengo. It was amazing to see the smiles and light on the boys' faces," he said.

The experience with the professional team has been remarkable for both of them. "It's been fantastic for me, despite the circumstances that it was. We're very sorry about Professor Muricy's departure due to his health issue. We hope he returns soon, as I think he still has a lot to contribute to Brazilian football, but it's been wonderful, better than any course I could have imagined. Having people I've worked with before, like Dudu, has also been a huge help and a reassurance. We have a more cohesive way of working, and that has undoubtedly made the process easier," commented Zé Ricardo.

Bressane also spoke about this moment in her career. "Working with the professional team at Clube de Regatas do Flamengo is superior to any course you could take. It's a dream come true to be able to work with so many excellent professionals. It's something that will greatly enhance the lives of everyone here," she praised. Success and constant development are part of the Flamengo DNA.
