After six games without a win, Flamengo has fallen out of the top four and is currently in 16th place in the 2010 Brazilian Championship. This position is leaving no one happy with the Flamengo fans. Therefore, the players and coaching staff know they need to react immediately. To do so, they must treat each match as the most important of the season from now on.
That's what coach Silas thinks. According to him, the match against Vitória, on Saturday (September 11.09th), in Volta Redonda, should be seen as a final. Confident, he believes that once the team breaks their losing streak, they will be able to build momentum.
"It will be a decision, and with the first victory, the others will follow," he said.
The Flamengo coach points out that the team is on an upward trajectory in the competition, but emphasizes that good performances are meaningless without victories.
"The priority is victory. We played well against Santos and didn't win. Now we have to play well, which is important, but the fundamental thing is to win," he concluded.
