The 115th anniversary of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo was celebrated in grand style on November 15, 2010, in Gávea. From the dawn at the nautical headquarters, with the presence of president Patricia Amorim, right at the beginning of the morning, to the friendly match between Flamengo veterans and friends of Adílio, which concluded the activities, it was a party without any flaws. Members, former players, artists, and fans in general attended the event, which livened up the social headquarters.
On the field, where many of Flamengo's football glories were won, matches between Flamengo's under-11 team and a team from a youth academy that's part of a social project run by the Mangueira club opened the day. The boys from the Flamengo team played first. Then it was the turn of the club's employees to face the press. Flamengo won 4-1. And the celebration was just beginning.
Then, a constellation of stars laced up their cleats for another friendly match, between Flamengo-supporting artists and artists who supported other clubs. Among them were Kadu Moliterno, Marcio Kieling, Nalbert, Diogo Nogueira, Heitor Martinez, and André Mattos. To wrap things up with a game, Adílio's friends faced Flamengo's Master team. A match to remember great performances from some of the best players in the club's history.
"It's always special to wear the Flamengo shirt and be able to celebrate another anniversary of the club. I'm very happy to be a part of this history and to always be participating," said Adílio.
Meanwhile, in parallel, a commemorative mass was celebrated at the Chapel of Saint Jude Thaddeus, Boca Maldita hosted the traditional Red-and-Black Chocolate event, as well as Reco Reco, and the children had a blast at the Urubinha Children's Area. To replenish their energy, a delicious lunch in honor of the club's 115th anniversary was served in the Main Hall.
