Flamengo's marketing department, through vice-president Ricardo Hinrichsen Jr., revealed to GLOBOESPORTE.COM that the project called "Passaporte Rubro-Negro" will only be launched in 2008. The idea is to create fan loyalty with the team, selling tickets for Brazilian Championship and Copa do Brasil games at the beginning of the season.

The project was supposed to be launched in 2007, but that didn't happen. The club managed to race against time to make the plan available in the last four rounds of the Brazilian Championship, but the idea of putting the "Rubro-Negro Passport" on the market was aborted.

"It's better to launch it next year, for the entire season. It's a loyalty project, which won't work in the Campeonato Carioca," explains Hinrichsen.

According to the Flamengo director, the plan won't work in the State Championship because, according to the regulations, the clubs share the revenue from the matches. However, Flamengo intends to request a change for 2009.

- We are trying to change the regulations for 2009. Only then will we be able to sell our passport for the entire season - explains the director.
