With Kleberson suspended, coach Rogério Lourenço still doesn't know which midfielder to field in Sunday's match (July 25.07). One possibility is for Rômulo to play as the first defensive midfielder, with Corrêa and Willians moving up to second and third midfielders, respectively.
A defensive protection player, Rômulo believes that a lineup with greater marking power is necessary in the match against Internacional.
"This marking will be necessary. Inter have a lot of technical quality, Rafael Sóbis is making his debut, and I think it's important to have this strength to exploit counterattacks. We know the pressure is high at Beira-Rio, we've played there a few times, and we're sure it will be a great game," he said.
The midfielder, who is from Caxias do Sul, promises to do his best to help Rubro-Negro leave Beira-Rio with a positive result.
"They mark hard, lure the opponent into possession, and try to attack from the start of the game. If I'm going to come on, I'll do my best. I'll do what I know: protect the defense and cover the full-backs. I play for the group, not to show off," he added.
