"For the team we have, we shouldn't be in this place"

Rubro-Negros regret second consecutive defeat and are already trying to think about the match against Santos

Having gone four games without a win in the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo knows it needs to react quickly if it wants to continue its bid for a top-four spot and defend its national title. The players believe they have the potential to improve in the competition and are banking on the strength and unity of the squad to turn things around in the coming rounds.

Midfielder Correa says all the players deeply regretted the result and understands the fans' demand for victories. For him, however, the team hasn't been playing badly, and despite the loss, the team can't let their heads drop and should already be thinking about Sunday's game (September 05.09th) against Santos.

"Nobody is happy with this situation. We're missing the details. Football is all about results, but we're not getting them. With the team we have, we shouldn't be in this position. Let's think about the next round now," said the midfielder, who lamented the fact that Flamengo didn't capitalize on the chances they created, especially in the first half.

"We had a well-prepared team, which capitalized on our mistakes. We ended up not being happy. Unfortunately, it didn't work out," he concluded.
