No brand surpasses Flamengo's in the national football scene. For the second year in a row, the Mais Querido (Most Beloved) tops the ranking of Brazil's most valuable clubs. The survey by BDO, one of the country's auditing and consulting giants, published in the online edition of "Estadão" this Wednesday (31), indicates a value of R$1,42 billion for the Rubro-Negro. The analysis includes market, revenue, and fan base.

The data is impressive. In addition to its leadership in 2015 and 2016, the Flamengo brand also stands out for its evolution and growth. In five years, its value jumped R$701,4 million, significantly higher than the second-place team, which achieved R$540,6 million.

Factors

Management, revenue, and consumer potential are key factors in the club's growth, as highlighted by Pedro Daniel, head of Sports Management at BDO, to "Estadão."

"For the second year, Flamengo leads Brazil in revenue. In addition to sponsorship, we can't forget that it's a club with the largest consumer base and the largest fan base in the country. It's the result of a very well-done homework."

For Flamengo president Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, the data rewards the club's management efforts and projects even better years ahead for the Rubro-Negro.

"This study only confirms all our efforts over the past few years to make Flamengo an even greater reference on the national stage. With this management model already consolidated, we will certainly achieve even better results in the coming years," he analyzed.
