Itu (SP) - From Petkovic's 38 years to Jorbison's 18, Flamengo's squad boasts many experienced players and many youngsters. Of the 30 who played in Itu, for example, 12 came through the club's youth academy. And this mix, according to the Serbian midfielder, could end up yielding positive results for the Rubro-Negro.

The midfielder, who is not only more experienced but also one of the group's leaders, believes the squad has what it takes to go far in the Brazilian Championship.

"The squad has young and experienced players. It's a good mix. And I believe this is positive. We're training hard to have a good Brazilian Championship. Everything the coach asked for is being done. I'm sure that, over time, the new team will gel," he said.

Excited about Zico's arrival as executive director of football, Gávea's number 10 believes that Galinho has implemented a new work philosophy that could bear good fruit at the end of the year.

"We knew that with Zico's arrival things would change. He brought us a new way of working, and we have to keep training to reap the rewards in the end," he added.
