If there was still any doubt about Petkovic's starting lineup for Sunday's game (18.07) against Atlético-GO, it was left behind on Saturday afternoon (17.07). The Serbian participated normally in the recreational training, gave a press conference and said he was ready to face Dragão in a game valid for the ninth round of the 2010 Brasileirão.

"I had a headache, but it wasn't a big deal. It's going to be a tough game, and we need to win. We're confident and need to repeat what we did in the derby to get three more points," analyzed the Serbian.

One of the most experienced players in this Flamengo squad, the midfielder sees the squad as capable of fighting for the top spots in the table.

"The team is young, but it has experienced players in all positions, and we still have more players to join the squad. I think it's still too early to make any predictions. There are still 30 games left, but we're defending our title, and if we want to win the title again, we'll need a lot of hard work and unity, just like last year," he said.

The stadium where Flamengo will play next Sunday brings back fond memories for Petkovic. Last year, it was at Serra Dourada, against Goiás, that the midfielder began to be more fully utilized by the red-and-black team.

"Last year, I came on in the second half of the team and never left. I hope to repeat last year's performance and that the team also does well, so we can come back with the three points," he added.
