Petkovic is not afraid of the fans' distrust

Serbian believes that fans' anxiety for a good result is normal

The potential pressure from the fans doesn't faze the experienced Petkovic. He knows the fans aren't used to the four-game winless streak the team has been going through in the Brazilian Championship, but he believes in the unconditional support of the red-and-blacks in Saturday's (August 14.08) game against Ceará at the Maracanã.

According to Pet, fans aren't feeling distrustful right now, but rather anxious for good results. He understands the fans' pressure, but urges everyone to trust the current Red-and-Black squad.

"I expect a scenario of more anxiety than distrust. Of course, our team is currently without Adriano, Vagner Love, and even Zé Roberto, who played great games last year, but we have good players. Our attack still has some flaws, but we have to trust whoever is here, and the tendency is only to improve," he said.

One factor the supporter believes could help the Red-Blacks have a strong campaign in the competition is the arrival of reinforcements. According to him, with Leandro Amaral and Renato Abreu, the team can already improve in the next round.

"With Renato and Leandro, our team gains a lot. Renato's entry into midfield increases our competence in the sector and reduces the lack of skills. Let's hope he reaches his full fitness as soon as possible, because he's already used to Flamengo and knows the club and the fans well, which helps a lot," he added.
