Military Police order mandatory ticket exchange for knockout matches at Maracanã
In the matches against Cruzeiro and Grêmio, members will no longer be allowed to access the stadium with a ticket card.
By Flamengo Communication - inBy order of the Military Police General Staff, all Flamengo fans must collect their tickets for the club's upcoming CONMEBOL Libertadores and Copa do Brasil matches at the Maracanã stadium, against Cruzeiro and Grêmio, on August 8 and 15, respectively. The PM's security measure extends to other knockout matches this year: Nação Rubro-Negra members with ticket cards will no longer be allowed access to qualifying matches at the stadium in 2018.
As with the match against Emelec in May of this year, a special operating plan was implemented to ensure fan safety. We understand that this change causes inconvenience, and out of concern for the comfort and ease of purchasing tickets and access to the stadium for red-and-black fans, we will soon announce the exchange points for members and the general public throughout the Rio de Janeiro metropolitan area. These points will operate starting August 1st for the match against Cruzeiro and August 8th for the match against Grêmio, with extended hours. These points will also be available at Novo Rio Bus Station and Santos Dumont Airport, to facilitate pick-up for fans arriving from outside Rio de Janeiro.
We reiterate the Nação Rubro-Negra program's commitment to always seeking to make life easier for fans, who are Clube de Regatas do Flamengo's most valuable asset, and we are available to answer any questions through our customer service channels:
