Initially, the training routine was led by fitness trainer Gustavo Araújo, using elastic bands. Then, divided into workstations, various exercises continued the workout. To conclude the physical training, the group performed pull-up runs on a 20-meter marked course on Field 5 before moving to the grass on Field 4, where ball training took place.
The activity prioritized the technical aspects of the red-and-black game, with exercises focused on passing accuracy. Split into three teams, two teams faced off in a demarcated area of the pitch, requiring eight exchanges of passes from the team in possession in a maximum of two touches, or an interception by the opposing team followed by a connected pass to the opposite side of the demarcated area for the other team to take over.
Next, it was time for the small-sided training session, which aimed to improve playmaking, defensive passing, and finishing. On the same pitch where the training took place, midfielder Diego performed specific coordination, ball handling, and passing exercises, guided by scientific coordinator Daniel Gonçalves.
During the afternoon, striker Berrío continued his recovery process at the CEP FLA facility. Under the supervision of physiotherapists Fred Manhães, Walteriano da Silva, and Mario Peixoto, the Colombian performed muscle-strengthening exercises.
Meanwhile, the athletes related to this Wednesday's match (24) against Bangu, which will have the ball rolling from 19:30 pm on Ilha do Urubu, participated in tactical training under the command of coach Paulo César Carpegiani. One of the players who were present at the activity was left-back Renê, who gave a press conference in the Victorino Chermont Press Room at the end of the training.
