They were goalkeeper Hugo Souza, defender Patrick, left-back Michael, midfielders João Pedro and Lucas Silva, and striker Wendel. Along with other youth players who had been participating in the final preseason training sessions, these athletes took to the field for the first tactical training session of 2018, which took place in the afternoon and was led by coach Paulo César Carpegiani.

After the warm-up, which included agility and coordination exercises for the outfield players and specific work for the goalkeepers, it was time for ball training. Carpegiani and his assistant coaches provided guidance on movement during offensive plays. The defense also received attention later, with a greater focus on positioning.

In the morning, the group visited Flamengo's Performance Excellence Center (CEP FLA), where a physical activity focused on the performance of the team. Led by physical trainer Gustavo Araújo, the athletes performed strength exercises at the set-up workstations.

Back in full time, activities will resume this Friday (12) at Ninho do Urubu, one day before the rest of the squad returns. Preparations continue strong for Mais Querido's debut in the Campeonato Carioca next Wednesday (17), against Volta Redonda. The match will be played at the Raulino de Oliveira stadium, with the ball rolling from 21:45 pm.
