Early in the afternoon of this Wednesday (17), defender Rodrigo Caio gave a press conference live from Ninho do Urubu. The red-black player answered questions through FlaTV. See the main excerpts below:

Return to training
"The most important thing is that we've created a completely safe environment here at Ninho do Urubu, where we can carry out our activities as safely as possible. We're trying to do our best in this return to training, which is very important to us. We're athletes, and we need to train. So we're very happy with the return of activities here at the training center, and we feel safe."

Football's new normal
"I believe that football will be very different at this early stage, especially because of everything we're going through. I often tell my family that we'll never be the same again, in every sense. With everything that's happening, I've learned a lot, and I think it's a time for reflection so we can develop individually. We're trying to face this situation in the best way possible, because it's our job, and we need to be mentally strong. Playing football is what we love, and I can say that I and all the athletes have complete confidence to continue our activities."

What will you miss most about this return?
"One of the things that will make this return most difficult is the fans. Especially for us, who play for a club with a strong fan base, being the 12th player on the field. But as I always say, we have to be mentally strong to overcome all adversity. It will be a challenge for everyone, not just Flamengo."

Dispute in the defense
"We have great defenders here. I'm sure whoever the coach picks from the starting lineup will do the job and help the red-and-black team. They're high-quality players, and Flamengo will benefit from this."
