Ready to react and take Flamengo to the top spots

The reigning Brazilian champion, Flamengo, has become accustomed to fighting for the top spots in recent years. However, the Brazilian Championship, which uses points, has already proven itself to be a balanced competition, where teams at the bottom can rise to the top of the table in just a few rounds. And this is what the Flamengo players are modeling.
Even the black and white rival was cited as a good example after training on Monday (13.09), in Gávea. After a bad run in the competition, Botafogo got better, achieved good results and, today, is at the top of the table. A place where Flamengo plans to be in a few rounds.
"The Brazilian Championship is very balanced, and everyone knows that. Flamengo can, indeed, pull it off. Botafogo serves as a good example. They were hovering around the relegation zone, and now they're up there, fighting for the title. The same could happen to us. We know that fighting for the title has become difficult, but we can reach the top of the table and fight for a spot in the Libertadores," said Jean.
Another player focused on nothing but better days at Gávea is striker Diogo. Repatriated for the second half of the season, he expects much more from the red-and-black squad and offers his recipe for a successful comeback.
"I believe that if we get three positive results in a row, we can even dream of the Libertadores again. I'm not thinking about relegation at all," he said.
And the team's poor form in the Brasileirão can help with future planning. Encouraged, the players aren't worried about the fact that there are still many games left to play. Everyone wants results from now on.
"We seek encouragement in every situation, and no one here wants to go through this difficult time. That's why we're working hard. We know we need to react now. There's no such thing as thinking there are still many games left. We're treating each game like our last, and it will be that way until the end of the championship," Jean concluded.
