Every great club deserves a great training center. That's why Flamengo president Patricia Amorim promises to prioritize the renovation of Ninho do Urubu, the club's training center, located in Vargem Grande, west of Rio de Janeiro. The facility, which covers approximately 130 square meters, houses some youth athletes and serves as a training ground for both the lower divisions and the professional team.

The structure, however, still needs some improvements. Patricia promises to begin improving the facilities with the accommodations and cafeteria. According to the president, the players prefer training at Ninho do Urubu to Gávea. The facility has five official soccer fields, and the grass is in good condition. Furthermore, many of the athletes live in Barra da Tijuca, which is nearby.

"The players enjoy training there and would like to have a space with air conditioning and a television to relax there. Good food and a good cafeteria are essential. Let's start with the cafeteria and the accommodations," he said.

The president wants the help of investors, but assures that she won't be held hostage by a potential partnership to begin work at Ninho. According to her, the important thing is to start sending resources now for improvements to be made at the site, and then gradually seek new partners.

"I won't wait for major partnerships to start improving the structure. The better the CT is, the greater the chances of attracting investors. There's no point in waiting for a major partnership and then spending six months doing nothing. Every month I'll send some resources there and we'll start little by little," he added.
