President meets with Domingo Bosco's grandson

On Tuesday afternoon (07.07), President Patricia Amorim received an illustrious visitor: Rodrigo Bosco, grandson of Domingo Bosco, one of the most famous football supervisors in the history of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. A resident of Los Angeles, in the United States, Rodrigo took advantage of his first visit to Brazil after Patricia's election to speak with the president.
Excited about the future that is shaping up for the club after the first few months of his term, Rodrigo celebrates Patricia's assumption of the role and praises the recognition of names that have made history at the club.
"Flamengo needed someone like Patricia in its administration. I hope she stays at the helm of the club for a long time to be able to do even more good things for Flamengo. She's making wise decisions, and I'm sure she'll always do the best for the club," said Rodrigo, recalling his past with Flamengo.
"Flamengo is part of my life and my family's life. This is very important. She really values the club's traditions, and I think the way things are being handled is very valid," he added.
Domingo Bosco - Domingo Bosco was a Flamengo supervisor in the 70s and 80s, known for his efficient off-field work, allowing players to focus solely on playing football. He was one of Flamengo's key assets in its major achievements in 1980 and 1981.
Among his many stories, one is linked to goalkeeper Raul Plasmann. Before the Club World Cup final, when Flamengo was on a layover in Los Angeles, Domingo bought Raul the yellow goalkeeper jersey that became a part of history and remains so well-known today. The jersey had no name, just the number 01, but since the goalkeeper's name was mandatory, Domingos decided to have it vulcanized along with the number, and it was with it that Raul won the 1981 World Cup.
