On Tuesday afternoon (21), striker Juninho was officially presented at Ninho do Urubu as Flamengo's new player. The 28-year-old, among other things, said he was fulfilling his dream by wearing the Sacred Mantle. He received the number 23 shirt from the hands of football director José Boto. Arrival at Flamengo

"I believe I fit in very well with the team. I'm very happy and motivated to be here. It's Flamengo (regarding the choice). There's no other motivation. I received other invitations to return here in the past, but at that moment I didn't want to return to Brazil. I think it's any player's dream to be here." 

Flamengo's interest

"I couldn't believe it when my agents told me Flamengo was interested in me. I didn't think twice about accepting the invitation. The motivation is Flamengo. It's simply Flamengo. It's any player's dream." 

Challenge of wearing the Mantle

"I see it as a major challenge in my life. I'm here to help Flamengo. There's no greater player than Flamengo. On or off the field, in any role. I respect and admire Pedro. He's the number 9 on our national team for me. I want to be here at least to help." 

Characteristic celebration

"The celebration is for my name. Flamengo can give me a dream I never had: to be a champion here in Brazil. I'm at a club where I can pursue that."
