In October 2016, Nação, which has already broken membership and fundraising records, reached its highest mark: 73.412 members who help Flamengo become ever stronger. And this number has already been surpassed: today, December 9, 2016, at 17:12 p.m., Mengão has 75.576 fan members.

The diversity and breadth of the fan base are reflected in the program's membership base. Far beyond Rio de Janeiro, Nação Rubro-Negra has members in 2.353 municipalities across Brazil—approximately 42% of the country's 5570.

The Marvelous City leads in number of members, followed, in order, by Niterói, Brasília, São Gonçalo, Duque de Caxias, São Paulo, and Nova Iguaçu. The Northeast region has fan members in 325 different cities, totaling 20% ​​of Off-Rio members.

Distance isn't a problem for the Nation. On more than one occasion, all 24 Brazilian states—including the Federal District—were represented by at least one fan member at the Maracanã stadium, the first time in the 2013 Copa do Brasil final and the last time during the stadium's reopening after the Olympics, for a big match against Corinthians. The Nation is even present in the remote municipality of Cruzeiro do Sul, in Acre, which, at 3.854 km away, is the furthest from Rio de Janeiro.
