It was with these words that confident striker Deivid opened his press conference on Monday afternoon (20.09), in Gávea. The red-black center forward scored his first goal for Flamengo in the 3-3 draw with Fluminense, last Sunday (19.09), and now hopes to continue scoring wearing the Sacred Mantle.
\asked about the blessing of Father Benedito, which he received on Friday before the game, the player revealed that his friends also asked him the same question after the game and thanked the heavenly forces.
\"I had to answer this question several times after my friends called. Thank God everything went well and now I have to keep working to schedule more times," he said.
\The striker, despite all his experience, doesn't hide the fact that he felt a certain anxiety before scoring his first goal for his new club. Now that the weight is off his shoulders, however, Deivid believes the other goals will come naturally.
\"I think the player may be experienced, but his bad form is weighing him down a bit. He ends up putting pressure on himself, and that affects him on the field. The first opportunity I had in the game, I tried to stay calm and level-headed. I hope to stay calm so we can get another result on Wednesday," he added.
