At a press conference early in the afternoon of this Tuesday (25), at Ninho do Urubu, right-back Rafinha was officially presented by Flamengo through the vice-president of football, Marcos Braz, the executive director of football, Bruno Spindel, and also the football manager, Paulo Pelaipe. After 14 years in Europe, the new star of Mais Querido spoke about the motivation to wear the Sacred Mantle.

"I chose Flamengo. I've reached a point in my career where I can do this. It's a huge club, a gigantic nation. And that's the challenge I want to take on... Bayern Munich is a European giant, Flamengo is a Brazilian giant. And I'm very happy to be here," he says.

On his first day of training on the field, the player met the squad and also took a closer look at the entire structure offered by the club at CT George Helal. 

"I'm in the best moment of my career, and I chose to come to Brazil, to one of the biggest clubs in the world. This return is worthwhile. I was impressed with the structure I saw here. It's second to none in Europe," he emphasizes.

Rafinha returns to training with the entire team full time this Wednesday (26), at Ninho do Urubu.
