By Communication - Official Club Website - inAnother impressive reception for the Flamengo Nation. This Wednesday (16.09), the Flamengo squad arrived in Brasília, where they play against Coritiba, and found, once again, the airport lobby packed with Flamengo fans eager to welcome the team.
The fans' affection was noticed and praised by the squad. Full-back Pará, a staunch Flamengo fan, spoke about the encounter with the passionate fans. "We're very happy to receive this welcome. We know that wherever Flamengo plays, they'll draw a crowd. Here in Brasília, it's no different. We're coming off a good winning streak, and I hope that, with the support of this crowd, we can achieve another great result to continue in the championship," he said. Midfielder Jonas echoed Pará and promised commitment. "It's always great to have the affection of this wonderful crowd. We show it on the field to deliver great positive results. We have to crown this affection from the fans, who will fill the stadium, with a great victory," he stated.
Midfielder Ederson, who has been with the club for about two months, said he witnessed one of his most memorable moments in football. "This is certainly a unique welcome in my entire career. I've rarely seen such a warm welcome here in Brasília. This brings us great joy, because we see the passion of the Flamengo fans, which is not just in Rio but throughout Brazil. This will give us the strength to give our all tomorrow and ensure Flamengo leaves the field as winners. We have to crown this affection from the fans, who will fill the stadium, with a great victory," he declared.
The Flamengo's number 10 also made a point of thanking the Brasília fans. "We really play here as if we were playing at home. This is great for us; these fans are very important to us. They support us and give us strength. It's gratifying to be able to play in front of a packed stadium. We thank each and every fan in attendance and we'll do our best to leave the field as winners," he said.
For Paulo Victor, a goalkeeper who came through the Flamengo youth academy, the affection is always special, but expected. "It's nothing new. Flamengo fans always make a difference wherever they go, and now we have another record attendance, with 67 paying fans. I'm happy with this arrival and the support from the fans. This is how we got to where we are. This affection makes us even more motivated for the game," he assured.

Pará also praised the fact that Flamengo plays at home anywhere in Brazil. "This support is important. We know the stadium will be packed, and we need to do everything we can to bring them joy in the end with the three points," he concluded.
