Gala Reception for Carlyle
Flamengo arrives in Brasília and the player, ex-CFZ, is celebrated with banners and even a samba school drum kit

Flamengo is already in the capital for a friendly match later today, at 20:30 PM, against Al Khoyol. And at Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport, the most celebrated player in the group, which includes reserves and juniors, was young Carlyle. The former CFZ player from the Federal District received a gala reception from the fans he left behind in Brasília. Banners, samba school drummers, and even dancers were waiting for the athlete.
Surprised, Carlyle, an 18-year-old from the interior of Goiás, couldn't hide his joy. He signed autographs and smiled, took photos with fans, and even endured some teasing from his teammates.
"I didn't expect all this affection, but I'm very happy," said the player, between jokes. "You're the king here," joked Saba. "You're in high regard, huh!" said goalkeeper Paulo Victor.
The rain in Brasília caused the red-black flight to be delayed, but nothing that dampened the players' good mood. Carlyle is not expected to start in Thursday's match (March 25.03), but he hopes to enter the field and bring joy to the Brasilienses.
"I will do my best on the field to repay this affection," he added.
Coach Marcelo Salles, Andrade's assistant, who will lead the team in the friendly, should field Paulo Victor, Galhardo, Henrique, Rômulo and Anderson; Lenon, Leo Medeiros, Saba and Camacho; Gil and Denis Marques.
