The Mais Querido's number one became the goalkeeper with the most minutes without conceding a goal for Flamengo, a total of 1, and gave an interview about his historic achievement, his good form, and the final he will play next week against Nova Iguaçu. Check out some excerpts from the interview:
About your record
"I'm very happy with the record I achieved, but I'll always say the same thing: the credit isn't just mine, it's the whole team's, who did a great job on the field. And as a personal goal, it's very rewarding. I arrived here recently, and today I'm already achieving an important record in Flamengo's history."
Play with your feet
"I think it's very important for goalkeepers around the world today to have the ability to help the team in the opening stages or in any other way. The week is always divided between aerial ball training, strength training, and footwork. Even with limited time, we always try to work on everything so we can arrive at the game, at the weekend, in the best shape possible."
Flamengo and titles
"The team back then (Zico's era) was a great team, and what they won at Flamengo, we strive for that. The Professor is building a great team, the balance he talks about is very important to us, and the truth is that we always move forward throughout the game, which is what we want: to always win."
