So far, Flamengo has confirmed the signing of two reinforcements for the return of the Brazilian Championship. Defender Jean has already arrived, and midfielder Renato Abreu will report in August. It may not seem like much to the fans, who are hoping for more names, but it has already pleased the Flamengo players.

Angelim and Petkovic, teammates of the new signings, were full of praise for Jean and Renato. Aware that the reinforcements will be a significant asset for the rest of the season, they expect victories to come.

"Jean is a player we've seen play for São Paulo before. He'll definitely help us a lot. I can say he has different characteristics than David, and that's important for us. I know he's preparing hard, along with us, to arrive in good form and give the team more security. Having more options makes the squad stronger. This is essential, as the competition is long and difficult," said Angelim, without showing any concern about the battle for defensive positions.

"I don't know who will start in defense. That's up to Rogério. During the season, he'll make some assessments, some training matches should take place, and from there, I believe the team will be defined. I can only guarantee that everyone is training well."

Regarding the reinforcement for the Flamengo midfield, Petkovic was the one who did the honors. And, if it's up to the Serbian star, the future will be bright for Flamengo fans.

"I don't know if the Renato and I duo will be good. But I can say that he's a great player who knows the team. This will make his adaptation to the group much easier. I have a lot of confidence in this signing. I think Flamengo made the right choice, especially because he has the mentality to play for the club," said Petkovic, not forgetting his new teammate's prowess on free kicks.

"Renato is left-handed and hits the ball hard. I know he's scored a lot of goals like that and I hope he scores more," Pet concluded.
