Midfielder Renato Abreu began training with his new teammates on Wednesday afternoon (August 04.08th) at Gávea, even before being officially presented by Flamengo. The player once again wore the number 11 jersey, the same one he wore during his first stint at the club, and participated in a conversation between coach Rogério Lourenço and other members of the coaching staff with the rest of the squad. As usual, the red-and-black reinforcement went through the traditional Polish corridor.

After this initial contact with the group, Renato went to physiology, where he underwent a series of tests. He's still undergoing some physical tests to ensure he can train normally with his teammates. There's still no word on Renato's possible debut, but it's worth noting that, despite having been out of official matches for some time, the midfielder took advantage of the final days of his contract in Arab football to improve his fitness.

Happy to be back and missing wearing the Rubro-Negro shirt, the midfielder is expected to be presented after training this afternoon. In the morning, the player and the club celebrated a judicial agreement which was the last detail to be resolved before the presentation.

"I can say I'm coming home because here at Flamengo I feel great and I have everyone's support. I'm very happy and confident about this return. I've been working on my fitness, and of course I need to get back into match fitness now. But I don't think I'll have many difficulties, and I hope to perform as soon as I get the opportunity to join the team," said Renato.
