Renato Augusto is doubtful for the game
Roger and Leonardo, however, feel muscle pain.
By Flamengo Archive - inMidfielder Renato Augusto remains doubtful for the match against Paraná. He started tactical training on Tuesday (October 09th) but left midway through, claiming he lacked confidence to continue. He went to the weight room for a different workout.
Regarding participation in Saturday’s game (13/10), Renato Augusto is apprehensive.
"I'm not confident enough to train. I only want to return when I'm 100%. I need to stay calm so as not to hinder my return, because I want to perform on the field. My playing style depends heavily on my physical condition. If I have to sit out, I'll work to return against Vasco."
In training this afternoon, Joel spoke about the player's importance to the squad, but made a point of saying that he only counts on the athlete if he is 100%.
"Renato Augusto is a player the squad is missing. But he needs to return when he can show his old form. For the match against Paraná, we have to rely on what we have, because from now on, every game is a decisive one."
Meanwhile, midfielder Roger, forward Leonardo, and defensive midfielder Jailton worked out in the club's weight room. The football department's physician, Dr. Walter Martins, explains the athletes' condition.
"Jailton felt pain in his foot and will be evaluated. Roger and Leonardo have muscle pain again and will be referred to Dr. Serafim Borges for clinical examination."
