Renato Augusto hopes for a spot in the starting 11
Supporter says he is prepared and ready to shine again.
By Flamengo Archive - inMidfielder Renato Augusto played a key role in the 3-1 victory over Ipatinga, even coming on as a second-half substitute. For the next match against Sport, the number 10 hopes for a starting spot.
"I came in, played 45 minutes, and felt really good. I could even play another 45 minutes. Now it's up to Caio whether I start the next match or not. I'm ready if he needs me and ready to step up again."
For Renato Augusto, the injuries he suffered this year are a thing of the past. He wants to help Flamengo win the Brazilian title.
"I won't dwell on the past anymore. What's done is done. My thoughts are always forward. I think my share of problems this year is over. It's hard to live with that. But I talked a lot with people who care about me, who are more experienced, and their support was important for me to keep fighting. At the beginning of the year, before the facial injury, I knew it would be an important year for me to get my life together. I only thought about winning titles, winning the Libertadores, to be well-regarded at the Club and make history. Now it's time to forget what happened and focus on winning the Brasileirão."
