Renato Augusto will not face Juventude
By Flamengo Archive - inMidfielder Renato Augusto underwent an MRI scan on Monday morning and was diagnosed with a grade two (medium) injury to his right thigh. As a result, he has been handed over to the medical department and will not be able to face Juventude next Sunday in Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, in the Brazilian Championship.
"Renato Augusto is, in principle, out of the game against Juventude. Because it's a muscle injury, it's not advisable to set a timeframe. We'll wait to see how the player progresses in the coming days," said doctor José Luiz Runco.
The squad is off this Monday and will return for full-time training on Tuesday morning. For the first time in two months, coach Joel Santana will have a full week of work. With this, there's hope that Roger, Maxi, and Ibson will be available to return against Juventude.
