Flamengo is still seeking at least one more point in the Brazilian Championship, in two rounds, to achieve some of its objectives in the competition. Therefore, the players know there's no room for relaxation. Instead, it's time to work even harder in pursuit of another positive result next weekend.
Supporter Renato remembers that the match against Guarani exhausted many players, but it was worth it, and asks that this be repeated in the duel with Cruzeiro, in Volta Redonda.
"We were very worn out against Guarani, but our team won and was convincing. The round didn't go in our favor. We have two battles ahead, two difficult games, and we have to continue to maintain our focus, determination, and will to get another victory and get out of this situation," said the player, noting that the victory against Bugre ended up not being decisive.
"We couldn't relax. The goal we wanted didn't happen. We were rooting for Avaí to lose, but they ended up winning. But we'll work hard all week once again, focused on our goal. It's the last one we can achieve, which is the South American," he said.
Happy to have the support of the fans, Renato thanks once again those who attended Engenhão and asks that the party be repeated at Raulino de Oliveira.
"We achieved our goal of beating Guarani, and we celebrated a lot, but more because the fans were behind us and because of the criticism we received. Unfortunately, we put ourselves in this situation, but we have quality, the team showed potential, and we'll get through this. The celebration was beautiful. Not every team can bring 40 fans to the Engenhão stadium like Flamengo did. We tried to reciprocate the fans' affection," he added.
