Renato praises the red-black team's will

For supporters, overcoming and unity are as fundamental as technical quality on the field.

Once again, Flamengo came from behind to get the result. The "Mais Querido" (the most beloved team) didn't beat Grêmio in Porto Alegre, but earned a valuable point at the Olímpico Stadium this Wednesday (September 22.09nd) with a 2-2 draw with the "Tricolor Gaúcho." Despite traveling south with their sights set on a win to make a strong run in the Brasileirão, the "Rubro-Negro" (red-and-blacks) considered the result a positive one.

Supporter Renato believes the team played better than their opponent and could even have come away with the win. However, for the number 11, the point earned from the draw ended up being a good enough result.

"A defeat would be horrible for us. The progress is clear. We have to give it time, the team is getting into sync, they're running well, moving, and the spirit was worth it. We came away with a point that we added to the table, which, given the circumstances, was good," he said.

Highlighting Flamengo's unity and resilience, which led to an equalizer in the 40th minute of the second half, Renato sees the team evolving and capable of fighting for the top positions in the future.

"It's worth overcoming. We deserve congratulations. Everyone fought hard, we talked in the locker room, and this unity off the field carries over onto the field. The result could have been better, we could have come away with the win, but the draw was a good result," he concluded.
