The seven points earned in the last three games don't fool Flamengo. The red-and-blacks don't want to get carried away and, therefore, prefer to remain cautious about projecting what the team will be fighting for until the end of the championship. Confident that they are improving and motivated to secure, at least, a position in the group that will compete in the 2011 Copa Sudamericana, the players know they need a great performance on Sunday at the Engenhão stadium.

The experienced Renato explains that the Flamengo team needs the fans' support at this moment and calls on the Nation to fill the Engenhão stadium for the weekend's derby. Furthermore, he sees the team improving at the right time in the competition.

"This is a time for humility, we have to think step by step. First, we'll conquer positions, climb the table, the closer to the top the better, but we will always respect our opponents. We are getting out of a bad situation, but we're not going to talk about Libertadores yet. Of course, everyone dreams of it, and I invite the fans again to help us get a good result against Vasco," said the number 11, confident of a large crowd.

"I'm sure the fans will come out to support us and push us towards victory," he stated.

The midfielder also believes that there are no favorites for such an important match, which, in addition to being a regional derby, is crucial for both teams' aspirations in the competition.

"The championship has its ups and downs. Today we are experiencing a good moment, but you never know the results. That only comes on the field, regardless of the situations the teams are in, even more so in a derby. There are no favorites. We have to prepare as much as possible, work hard, and maintain our motivation to achieve victory," he concluded.
