Renato sweats for a "good cause"

Supporter hopes to be available to Rogério Lourenço very soon

The coaching staff plans to have Leandro Amaral and Renato Abreu available for Rogério Lourenço to face Atlético Paranaense on the 22nd in Curitiba. Aware of this, midfielder Renato Abreu has been working hard at Gávea and is always one of the last to leave the club after training. The goal is to make his Flamengo debut as soon as possible.

"It's good to get your sweat on, right? I've been out for a while and now I have to get back to my best shape. I'm working hard, doing ball work and also in the gym so I can get back on the field soon," he said.

Despite his eagerness to return to competitive matches for the Red-Blacks, Renato is cautious about predicting his debut. He will only return to action when he's very close to 100%.

"We have to be careful, even to avoid the risk of injury. I'm doing the work I planned and would really like to face Ceará. But if I can't, I'll work hard again next week to face Atlético," said the player, who says he's even more motivated due to the great reception he's received from the squad and the fans.

"It's great to have this environment here and it just makes me want to play for Flamengo again and help the team in the Brazilian Championship even more," he concluded.
