On Wednesday night (24), Flamengo and River Plate drew 0-0 at the Monumental de Nuñez in Argentina, in a match valid for the last round of the Conmebol Libertadores. After the match, full-back Renê spoke about the difficulty of facing the Argentinians away from home. “River Plate imposed a lot of difficulty from the start. We couldn't play our best and I think the game was back and forth. We had several chances and could have decided it with two balls. We know that River is a very strong opponent,” said the number 6. In the press conference, Renê justified the goalless draw and projected the search for the leadership of the Brazilian Championship. “In a competition like this, we can't choose our opponents. I know our team is very strong. Given the difficulty of the match, the result was fair. We created many chances, but we didn't get the final pass and the finishing right.” Now it's time to focus on the Brazilian Championship, since we have the leadership at stake,” said the full-back. The next commitment of Mais Querido will be this Saturday (26), against Atlético-MG, at 21 pm, for the seventh round of the Brazilian Championship.
