A great result to continue the fight for the lead. That's how Flamengo left Maracanã this Thursday (23), after beating Vitória 1-0 in the Brazilian Championship. After the final whistle, left-back Renê spoke exclusively to Mais Querido's social media and analyzed the match. 

"We prepared knowing it would be a tough game. Paulo César Carpegiani knew our team and its characteristics. Vitória had just lost two games and would be very defensive, so we started with a strong rhythm from the start. We had a chance to kill the game in the first half, but unfortunately the ball didn't go in. But we scored a goal. The second half was more even, but we got the three points and continue to fight at the top of the table," said Renê.

The red-black team takes to the field next Sunday (26), at 16 pm, at Arena Independência, facing América-MG for the Brazilian Championship.
