Flamengo had been finding it difficult to break through the defensive blockade imposed by the Bangu team, until left-back Renê broke the deadlock in style. The bomb from the edge of the box, which bulged the nets of goalkeeper Márcio, paved the way for the Mais Querido's 3-0 victory on Wednesday night (22), in a match held at the Raulino de Oliveira stadium, in Volta Redonda.

Renê showed off a new aspect of his game for the Flamengo fans, scoring his first goal wearing the Sacred Mantle. The full-back commented on the goal.

"I'm a guy who rarely hits shots from outside the box. I know I sometimes get good shots, but I'm not a guy who doesn't shoot a lot. I had confidence there and was able to help my team get this victory," celebrated the number 6, who also commented on his celebration. "My wife and my daughter, who is on the way. Before the game, I promised I would score a goal for her, thank God everything went well and I managed to score," he explained.

This Sunday (26), Flamengo will face another challenge for the Guanabara Cup and, this time, with a classic. At the Mané Garrincha stadium, in Brasília, Zé Ricardo's team will face the Vasco team, with the ball rolling from 18:30 pm.
