At the end of Friday's training session at Ninho do Urubu, which concluded the red-and-black team's preparations for the match against Atlético-GO, left-back Renê appeared in the Victorino Chermont Press Room to give a press conference. Aiming to return to winning ways in the Brazilian Championship, the number 6 previewed the match, paying close attention to the performance of the top-tier rivals.

"This is a game we have everything we need to win again. We need to score points, regain some confidence after Wednesday's game. We'll try to have a good second half, and ultimately we'll see what happens, whether Corinthians stumbles," he said, warning of the dangers posed by this Saturday's opponent. "I watched two Atlético-GO games a few rounds ago and saw that their team has been giving us a hard time. Sometimes the result doesn't come, but they always fight, they battle, and they should come out strong. This is a game we need to go into determined and focused to avoid what happened against Vitória," he analyzed.

And speaking of the Flamengo coach, Rueda will be leading the team for the first time in a match on Ilha do Urubu. Renê predicts that the 'professor' will receive a warm welcome from the Flamengo Nation and that the atmosphere at the match will serve as a small preview of what he will encounter next Wednesday, when, in front of a packed Maracanã stadium, Flamengo will decide who will advance to the Copa do Brasil final against Botafogo.
