Flamengo drew 0-0 with Botafogo on Wednesday night (16) in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil semifinal. Still at Engenhão, left-back Renê spoke to the press in the mixed zone and evaluated the red-black performance, in addition to commenting on Reinaldo Rueda's debut as coach of Mais Querido.

"I believe our team played better and deserved a win. We managed to control the game and knew Botafogo would come out more defensive. We're organizing ourselves and getting things right, but I believe we can come out with a positive result in the next match. Now it's time to rest and think about the next match," said Renê.

Regarding Rueda's first match in charge of Flamengo, the player believes that the training session was short, but that the team will soon reflect the Colombian's style. "We've already seen a bit of what he asked of us. We keep the ball more, we don't always go after them, we play more wide. Little by little, we're adapting and understanding what's being taught," concluded the full-back.

Flamengo's next challenge will be on Saturday (19), when they face Atlético-GO, at 19 pm, at Ilha do Urubu. Afterwards, Mais Querido will play the second leg of the Copa do Brasil, at 21:45 pm, on Wednesday (23), at Maracanã.
