"Dorival focused more on boosting our confidence. He knew we were coming off a painful elimination, where we could have made it to the final. He talked to us and motivated us. He got the final pass right, and we were able to do what we'd been training for all week to score goals. We came away with a great result," he said.

The full-back also highlighted the offensive work done during this week of training at Ninho do Urubu, where coach Dorival Júnior focused heavily on the time he had to train the red-black squad. 

"We worked all week to get there and put the ball in. Today I was happy to score the goal and help my team come away with the victory."
