Representatives of Flamengo and LDU meet on the eve of the Libertadores clash

On Tuesday night (12), representatives of Flamengo and LDU met for dinner before the match for the Conmebol Libertadores. The meeting is a tradition that always takes place on the eve of the clash for the international competition. The duel will be this Wednesday (13), at 21:30 pm, in a Maracanã completely packed by the Nação Rubro-Negra.
The red-and-black delegation was formed by the football manager, Paulo Pelaipe; by the directors, Bruno Spindel and Cacau Cotta; by the communications manager, Leonardo André; and also by the marketing and external relations analyst, Yuri Palopoli.
On the Ecuadorian side, the following were present at the meeting: manager Vicente Páez; football commission president Stalin Nevárez; sports manager Santiago Jacome; and stadium manager Julio Alvárez.
Cacau Cotta, Flamengo's director of external relations, highlighted the importance of maintaining a good relationship with opponents who come to play in Rio de Janeiro.
"This is an important relationship policy for Flamengo. This process will be carried out with all the clubs we face. It will be the same with the federations as well. Flamengo will always seek this reciprocity with opposing clubs and organizations."
Bruno Spindel, director of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, also commented on the dinner on the eve of the match against the Ecuadorians.
"It's always very important for clubs to be close off the field so we can create consistent and direct communication. It's also good for exchanging best practices, good business deals, and even partnerships. Not to mention the rivalry and competition that occurs on the field, which is healthy and also the reason for our activity."
After the meeting, Júlio Alvárez spoke about his relationship with Flamengo fans and highlighted the exchange of ideas for future projects in Ecuador.
"It was an excellent experience, and we really liked the Flamengo fans. They've always welcomed us warmly. This is the first time we'll be playing together, and they were great hosts. We hope it's a great show and that both teams give their all on the field. Aside from the rivalry on the field, we've made a very good friendship. We exchange ideas and projects, and keep each other informed about everything Flamengo has been doing, including the high-performance training center," said the LDU stadium manager.
The meeting between the club boards also served as an opportunity to share experiences and ideas. Both teams won the first round of Group D and are in high spirits heading into the upcoming match. All 57 tickets were sold in advance, and over 60 red-and-black fans are expected to show up for the match against LDU.
