After yesterday's hard-fought 1-0 victory in Volta Redonda, Flamengo's squad returned to training this Monday afternoon in Gávea. The red-and-black team is starting to prepare for its next match in the Campeonato Carioca, on Wednesday, against Mesquita, at Maracanã.

The players who started yesterday's match only did physical exercises at the club's gym. The exceptions were Bruno and Ronaldo Angelim. The goalkeeper has significantly improved from the pain in his right knee and has a good chance of facing Mesquita. Ronaldo Angelim, on the other hand, is experiencing pain in his right thigh and will be re-evaluated tomorrow. Juan, with pain in his right leg, is once again ruled out of the match.

On the field, the reserves had no trouble defeating the Brazilian Armed Forces National Team. With a fine performance by Zé Roberto and Jônatas, Flamengo won 4-1, with goals from Zé Roberto, Thiago Sales, Jônatas, and Josiel. Flamengo's starting lineup included: Diego (Marcelo Lomba); Fierro, Douglas, Thiago Sales, and Everton Silva; Toró, Jônatas, Kleberson, and Zé Roberto; Vandinho (Josiel), and Paulo Sérgio (Erick Flores).
