Coach Joel Santana was one of the key figures in Flamengo's recovery in this Brazilian Championship. With his contract running until the end of the year, the coach has yet to renew a new agreement with the Club, and the decision on the matter has been postponed until Friday (November 30th) at the latest, according to vice president of football Kleber Leite.

- "Flamengo made a renewal offer to Joel Santana, and we're waiting until Friday for a response. He told me that he received some inquiries from clubs abroad, but the only concrete offer is from Flamengo."\ \ The vice president is confident in a favorable outcome for the red-and-black club.\

- "The proposal we've given you is worthy of the best coaches in Brazil. We'll wait until Friday, but I feel there's a good chance of a positive response."

 Coach Joel Santana has not yet decided on his future, but revealed that the red-black fans will influence his decision.

- "The fans' affection means a lot. I've seen things here that I've never experienced in my career. The most important thing is that Flamengo wants me to stay, and I want to stay at the Club."
